Our students learn through a variety of activities including songs, poems, crafts, cooking, gardening, writing and counting games, seasonal parties, special guests, field trips and sharing time.

We strive to foster independence in our students, while giving parents an opportunity to engage and participate in their children’s education.
Being a parent participation preschool, parents work in their child’s classroom on a rotating basis, alongside the teacher, creating a warm, cohesive home-to-school transition.

Laurelwood Preschool has been a positive first school experience for three and four year olds in our community since 1965. Laurelwood Preschool is a private, non-profit, non-sectarian organization. The teachers and parents are dedicated to creating an engaging classroom environment that fosters a lifetime love of learning.
